Yemeni Mountain Honey : I want to buy some of the honey but wanted to check whether this honey is good for diabetic people.. Is it guaranteed no added sugar or the bees are fed any sugar as I take it daily in the morning ?!
We’d like to reassure you that this honey is 100% original and pure, just like all the honey we’ve proudly offered for over three years here in the UK. We import directly from trusted, experienced beekeepers in Yemen, and we’ve maintained a strong track record of customer satisfaction — as clearly reflected in our reviews.
However, we’d like to gently note that this particular honey is not recommended for individuals with diabetes. It is a blossom flower honey (not Sidr), which means it contains naturally high levels of sugars such as fructose, glucose, and lactose. These are naturally occurring sugars found in flower-based honeys and may impact blood sugar levels.
If you are looking for a more suitable option for diabetic individuals, we’d be happy to recommend alternatives or answer any further questions you may have.
Hello I purchased Yemeni sidr but it doesn’t seem to foam like the others, Can you please help me know how to use this
🌿 What Is Yemeni Sidr Powder?
Sidr powder is made from the dried leaves of the Sidr tree (Ziziphus spina-christi). It's rich in antioxidants, antimicrobial agents, and soothing compounds—making it excellent for cleansing, nourishing, and healing.
✅ How to Use Yemeni Sidr Powder
🔹 1. For Face (Gentle Cleanser & Mask)
Benefits: Clears acne, tightens pores, soothes irritation.
How to use:
Mix 1 teaspoon Sidr powder with warm (not boiling) water until it forms a paste.
Optional: Add a few drops of honey or rose water for extra hydration.
Apply to your face (avoid eyes).
Leave on for 5–10 minutes.
Gently rinse with lukewarm water.
Use 1–2 times a week as a gentle natural cleanser or detox mask.
🔹2. For Hair (Cleansing & Strengthening Mask)
Benefits: Cleans scalp, strengthens roots, reduces dandruff, and adds shine.
How to use:
Mix 2–3 tablespoons Sidr powder with hot water to make a thick paste.
Let it sit for 5–10 minutes to activate.
Optional: Add a spoon of yogurt or a few drops of oil (argan, olive, or castor) for added nourishment.
Apply to damp hair and scalp.
Leave for 20–30 minutes.
Rinse thoroughly (do not use shampoo immediately after; Sidr cleans the scalp naturally).
Use once a week for healthy, balanced hair.
🔥 Mixing Tips
Use hot water (not boiling) to activate the powder, then let it cool slightly before applying.
Always make a fresh paste before use—don’t store leftovers.
Use a non-metal bowl and spoon to preserve its natural properties.
The Osaimi I have had before has always been Amber on colour, similar to the one in the video you have of the Osaimi honey.
This one you mailed me is a darker hue.
It smells and tastes similar to the Maliki Yemeni Sidr honey from Wadi Doan.
Is there any reason for the difference in colour?
You’re absolutely right, Osaimi sidr honey can vary in colour slightly from batch to batch. The difference in hue you're noticing is most likely due to seasonal changes, floral source variation, and the region within Yemen where it was harvested.
While the Osaimi you had before was lighter amber, this current batch may appear darker due to:
The time of harvest (later in the season often results in darker honey)
Higher concentration of certain floral nectar that naturally deepens the colour
Storage temperature during transport or handling
In addition, this particular batch contains a small but naturally occurring amount of royal jelly, which may also contribute slightly to its deeper hue and rich texture. Royal jelly is a nutrient-rich substance produced by bees, and although only present in trace amounts, it adds to the honey’s unique properties and overall health benefits.
The flavour and aroma profile being similar to Maliki honey is not unusual, as they can sometimes share overlapping nectar sources, especially if harvested from nearby valleys.
Please rest assured that this is 100% authentic Osaimi Sidr honey, and such natural variations are normal in raw, unprocessed honey.
If you have any further questions or would like to discuss this more, I’d be happy to help.
